best way to break through a plateau

Alright, so I’ve been lifting for years, but my bench has completely stalled. I feel strong, but the numbers just aren’t moving up. I’ve tried increasing volume, playing around with rep schemes, even switching grips, but nothing seems to be working. What’s the best way to break through a plateau when everything feels stuck? I don’t want to just keep grinding without progress.

Sometimes, it’s all about switching up the rep scheme. Try doing more paused reps or incorporating speed work with lighter weight. Also, are you tracking your recovery? If you’re pushing too hard without enough rest, your body might just be fried.

Your triceps might be the weak link. A lot of guys focus too much on the chest and forget that a strong lockout comes from powerful triceps. Throw in more close-grip bench, dips, and heavy extensions to build pressing strength.

Make sure your recovery is solid. Sleep, food, and rest days matter more than people think when trying to push past plateaus. If you’re not eating enough, you won’t be gaining strength. Try upping your protein intake and see if that helps.
