Anyone else notice that your lifts just go to hell when you’re deep into a cut?

 I’m 5 weeks out from a show and stuff that felt light 3 months ago now feels impossible. I’m still pushing hard, but mentally it’s rough seeing strength fall off. How do you deal with that mentally during prep?

i remind myself it’s temporary. You’re not supposed to be strong at 6% body fat. Just maintain and survive.

i chase the pump during prep,not the weight. strength drops, but vascularity and detail keep me going.

film your training.

even if the weight’s lighter,seeing how shredded you look while lifting can help mentally. 💪🧠
